Little Mouse Color Game Activity & Prop

Little Mouse
Author unknown: A longtime library & preschool favorite to do on using a felt board!

Little Mouse, Little Mouse,
Are you in the [color] house?

Activity:
In a variation of the game, “Hide-and-seek,” select one child be the “little mouse.”
While everyone else doesn’t look, the “mouse” hides behind one of the stand up houses.
Once hidden, the other players turn around and take turns guessing where the “mouse” might be by saying the rhyme and stating a specific color of house.

Variation: Can switch out colors for letters or numbers by adding them to the stand up houses. Can also substitute a stuffed animal for the hiding player.
