Sun.Moon.ClockChorus: (To be sung before each verse)

Verses:
What will we do with the sleepy moonlight,
HANDS OUT TO SIDES, PALMS UP
HANDS TOGETHER, AT SIDE OF CHECK AS IF SLEEPING
What will we do with the sleepy moonlight,
What will we do with the sleepy moonlight,
Early in the morning?
TAP WRIST AS IF WEARING A “WATCH”

Wave goodbye so the sun can come after,
WAVE ; HANDS TOUCH OVERHEAD CRATING A “CIRCLE”
Wave goodbye so the sun can come after,
Wave goodbye so the sun can come after,
Early in the morning.
TAP WRIST AS IF WEARING A “WATCH”

Vegetable: Fingerplay or Action Activity

A Vegetable in Autumn
By CK Emanuel

I’ve grown, grown, grown,
START HANDS TOGETHER, SPREAD FARTHER AND FARTHER APART
Till I am fat, fat, fat,
PAT BELLY
Pick me, pluck me,
POINT TO GROUND AT IMAGINARY VEGETABLE
MAKE MOTION AS IF PULLING FROM PLANT
Cook me, eat me,
MAKE A CIRCLE WITH FIST  AS IF USING A SPOON TO     STIR A  FRYING PAN.
BRING HANDS TO MOUTH AS IF EATING
Or I’ll rot, rot, rot!
DROP SHOULDERS, SLOUCH, AND MAKE A SAD FACE

Read on for the movements to change into action activity.

Planets: Action Activity

Eight Planets
Words By CK Emanuel

Assign each child a planet in our solar system. Choose either a child/staff/object to be the sun. Who doesn’t love spinning? Have the children act according the the following words.

Eight planets spinning, spinning.
Eight planets spinning in space.

Turning, turning
Some go fast,
Some go slow,
One spins backwards, way to go!

When I shout your planet
run behind the sun;
Make a revolution
End where you’d begun.

Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune
